I have never played the original Luigi's Mansion, Only Dark Moon and 3, until today! I gotta say, for being the original, its pretty good! I would recommend playing!
I just bought a Wii Classic Pro controller at my local antique store at a great price (30$ in Canadian dollars, so around 21$)! It's a bit dirty, but the controller works well!
