I see the general consensus online for this game being "it deserves a remake," and at the risk of basically saying Skill Issue, I really don't think it needs one. It's a little obtuse, sure, but if you talk to the NPCs they tell you where to go. If anything, I wouldn't want a remake of this game, but a live action movie like Itoi wanted when the game released.

    It's not the 80s or 90s anymore, but I really do think this game would make the perfect cheesy 90s movie. Like it really fits this whole game well, and Itoi agreed. If you read in Encylopedia MOTHER he even lists some actors he thought would be good.

    Honestly not a big fan of Encore. It’s cool, but I don’t like that people are recommending for people to play it over the original. I respect its existence but it’s not for me personally!
