So, what version of Minecraft does the Wii U version use? Are there any Homebrew patches that can add later content? I like Minecraft but I don't want to play the Wii U version if it doesn't have good content...

    The PS3,360,Wii U,PSVita and 3DS versions are all a sperate version from either Java and Bedrock editions known as "Legacy Console Edition". There's a few programs and groups out there for modding this version, you'll just have to look around. Especially after the recent source code leak.
