Question

Question! Does anyone here use the TV Remote feature on the Wii U GamePad? For a long time I thought my TV didn't support it, but then a couple of months ago, I realised my TV DOES support it, I just had to select a different manufacturer. Since then, my Wii U GamePad has been my main TV remote.

Yes, I use it all the time. It's been a long time since I even used my actual TV remote, and only for using functions that aren't on the GamePad TV control function.

Is your TV old or new? Because I didn't set up the TV remote feature for my Wii U because I was thinking that our TV might be too new for the feature. Our TV is a Samsung 4K Smart TV from 2021.

Yup, it works with my Toshiba Amazon Fire TV! I use it every now and then to either turn off the power or turn up/down the volume, but that's pretty much it.

I tried it but it breaks some of the bindings for plugins I have and I don't want to change them.

I sometimes use it on my 4K Roku TV. (TV is from 2023)
